Jutta Ludwig-Müller has published 150 articles (Web of Science) in plant sciences in international journals and books with a current h-index of 32 (over 3000 citation). She studies the molecular interaction of plants with pathogens and beneficial microbes with special interest on plant hormones, plant secondary metabolites and defense mechanisms. She has also become recently involved in projects to improve plant secondary metabolite production using cell and organ cultures of various plant species. She is member of several scientific societies (German Botanical Society, International Society of Plant Growth Regulators, American Society of Plant Biologists) and her international achievements were rewarded by several memberships on international advisory boards (e.g. Rudjer Boskovic institute, Croatia). During her career she was visiting several internationally renowned laboratories as guest scientist (Volcani Center, Israel; United States Department of Agriculture, Maryland, USA; Institute for Plant Biotechnology, Talca, Chile). She is member of several editorial boards of scientific journals and since several years appointed Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Plant Growth Regulation.
