Prof. Dr. Jianbo XIAO

Dr. Jianbo Xiao is current a professor of Department of Analytical Chemistry and Food Science, Faculty of Science, University of Vigo (Spain). He received PhD degree in nutrition from Okayama Prefectural University (Japan) in 2009. He worked as a postdoctoral scientist, supported by AvH foundation, at University of W├╝rzbug, Germany (April 2013-May 2015), followed by an assistant professor position at University of Macau (October 2015-December 2020). Dr. Xiao has been selected as Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researchers (2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021). His research is focusing on nutrition. He has published more than 300 peer reviewed papers, incl. Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, Biotechnology Advances, Seminars in Cancer Biology,Trends in Food Science & Technology, Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Journal of Advanced Research, Pharmacological Research, Food Chemistry, and etc (Google citations count: 20 282, H-index 72). Dr. Xiao has hosted more than 13 research grants since 2009.

Dr. Xiao is an expert reviewer of European Science Foundation, UK Diabetes Foundation, Natural Science Foundation of China, the Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research.
